Here are 10 of my favorite films that didn’t make my Top 10 list. Click the titles below for my reviews.
- “Mission Impossible: Fallout” – Possibly the best one of the franchise.
- “Widows” – Ignored but terrific thriller.
- “A Quiet Place” – Best horror movie of the year.
- “Creed II” – A worthy addition to the “Rocky” franchise.
- “Wildlife” – A marriage on the rocks – ignored AAW performance by Carey Mulligan.
- “Searching” – Interesting who-done-it with most of the film recorded on an iPhone or computer.
- “Kodachrome” – Emotionally-compelling Netflix film about a conflictual father/son relationship.
- “Hunter Killer” – Overlooked action thriller that deserved a better fate.
- “Tully” – Creative screenplay by Diablo Cody – Interesting Comedy/Drama with depth.
- “Mary Poppins Returns” – Not as good as “Mary Poppins,” but it’s still very enjoyable and fun.
