If you like the X-Men series don’t miss this one. All the main characters are in it and the plot is better than most comic book movies.
The film starts in the future where the mutants and humans are being wiped out by killer robots (Sentinels) who can adapt to any mutant powers. The mutants and humans are doomed unless they can prevent the all powerful Sentinels from ever being massed produced by the government.
The only chance the mutants and humans have before the end is for Logan/Wolverine’s (Hugh Jackman) consciousness to travel back in time into the younger Wolverine so that he can enlist the aid of other mutants from the past to stop a misguided genius Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage-Game of Thrones) from building the Sentinels and convincing the government to mass produce them.
Will Wolverine and the mutants succeed in this dangerous mission or is it THE END for the mutants and homo sapiens like us?
As usual, there are good special effects and action sequences. Halle Berry (Storm) and Jennifer Lawrence (Raven/Mystique) are in it (that’s enough for me!) along with Patrick Stewart (Prof. Xavier) among others. This movie needs to be seen on the BS or it won’t work.
Rating-7.5-good movie worth a trip to the BS
