DMF,

If you see this movie, see it in IMAX/3-D or it won’t work.
The plot is simple. Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) and  Matt Kowalski (George Clooney) are on a mission to repair a space station but  space debris destroys the station and Ryan is left stranded in deep space. Matt then tries to rescue her. Will one or both make it back to Earth alive?
The film is visually spectacular (Cinematographer-Emmanuel Lubezki) and you get a real feel of what it is like in deep space, without any gravity.
Both actors do a fine job (Director-Alfonso Cuaron) although neither role is especially demanding. Bullock is being mentioned for the AW but Kate Blanchett would still get my vote.
The problem I had with the movie was that there was one survival crises after another and this eventually “weighed me down.”
Bottom Line-Gravity is worth the trip to the BS but it isn’t in my top 10.
